June Hilton, 46, South Africa

I am deeply grateful to the work that has gone into putting together the work on Joy from everyone who has been a part of this mission. This film has helped me on my journey in supporting my father through Prostate Cancer after he'd lost both his mom and sister to cancer. Watching this film has helped me to cultivate more compassion from which I can walk the journey with him.
As an Human resources practitioner and working with the adoption of abandoned children in South Africa; it brings me great peace and acceptance for working with the most vulnerable in society and I hope to share this message within the spaces I contribute in and serve. Mandela and the Arch are my heroes and I dedicate my life to bringing joy in a country that is riddled with the ghosts of the past. The transition of SA is a hard and difficult one and to find a message of joy in the dark, is a beacon of God's love for us as humanity. I now know what the truest version of friendship looks like and I am inspired to live out the teachings everyday.

My greatest take away is that Joy is as natural as breathing. We must find the way back home to that gift of the rhythm of being human.

Thank you and may you be blessed for your commitment and dedication to bring more JOY to the world.

With love
June
